We all keep hearing this word, it’s from the CDC, it’s a direct recommendation. So, what you’ll see when you come into our office this week, is you will immediately be escorted into a patient room. Our waiting area is non-existent; All the chairs have been removed. If we are not ready for you, we will ask you to take a seat in your car and we’ll give you a call as soon as we are ready for you. We are also minimizing visitors to care-givers and immediate family only and they will have to go into the room with you.
Now, this puts me on my soapbox for social distancing. It only helps if everybody does it. We really need to minimize the amount of contact we’re having with other people right now. The biggest problem with Covid-19 is the latency period. It’s long, so you could be infected long before you know, and (could be) infecting other people. Yes, I will likely be fine, healthy people will likely be fine if we get it. What we don’t want to do is pass it on to people who won’t be ok. So, let’s all do our part, let’s all social distance, and when you come to Prairie Path expect to see things be a little different, maybe not quite as welcoming, but we’re still happy to have you and we’ll get you right in a treatment room and most importantly keep you and our staff safe.
