I think Kobe might have said it best in his solemn press conference after his season ending injury "It's terrible. It's a terrible feeling, man". An injury that knocks you out of the sport you love can be extremely frustrating and that was evident when Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant ruptured his Achilles tendon last month.

Kobe is a strong athlete and treated properly, he will come back next season stronger both mentally and physically because of his injury.  It's all about outlook and Kobe has a great perspective on his injury.  "One day, the beginning of a new career journey will commence. Today is NOT that day" he posted on Facebook.  You can read his story here.

Achilles ruptures are often proceeded by Achilles tendonitis, for Kobe this was not the case. Seemingly, he had no symptoms prior to injury.  Many athletes do have a tightness or soreness in their Achilles prior to rupture. Think you might have Achilles issues?  Give our office a call for a full evaluation, it just might help you from being sidelined.
