If you twisted your ankle, it is important to keep in mind RICE:
Rest - rest the injury, stay off of that foot!
Ice - ice is a very underrated anti inflammatory, and you should ice ther area
Compression - use an Ace wrap or similar to decrease the swelling
Elevation - be sure to put the foot up on a pillow, this decreases swelling to the affected ankle
