My pediatrician said to watch my child's flat feet...what am I watching for?
First, let me start by saying that I don't think you should be watching flat feet. While they don't always need to be treated, but many do need a proper evaluation and baseline X-rays.
It's clear from an exam, history and X-rays if your child needs treatment or not.
If your child complains of weakness or pain, certain X-rays findings or a family history of foot problems then they need to be treated.
Remember prevention is key! If you are worried about your child's feet call our office today and our friendly staff, many of whom are moms too, will help get you child an appointment. Lets put your worries to rest and get your questions answered.
