Footcare is always important to us here at Prairie Path Foot and Ankle Clinic, but for those of you who tend to ignore their feet, April is the month for footcare awareness! The American Podiatric Medical Association is promoting foot awareness this month because when your feet hurt, everything hurts. A visit to our office for a general foot exam will help treat existing problems as well as avoid future ones. If you are a runner or a sport afficionado, come see our doctors in order to make sure you are wearing the right shoes and taking care of your feet in order to keep active. If you are having a problem, our doctors will perform a thorough evaluation, including on the spot Xrays if needed, and provide you with an accurate diagnosis and treament plan. If you are diabteic, all the more important to make an appointment with our doctors for a diabetic foot exam. Depending on the findings, you may be eligible for diabetic shoes and inserts, plus you will receive a comprehensibe plan to treat any problems and prevent any from creeping up. If you have questions about your child's feet or if your child is complaining of pain, have him or her seen as pain in a child is NOT growing pains!
Whether it is foot pain, skin condition on your foot, nail issues, or diabetic foot care, our doctors will be able to help. If you want to find out more about diabetic foot care, skin conditions, joint pain, womens foot health, orthotics and shoes, or lumps and bumps, explore our website. Better yet, make an appointment with one of our doctors. You will be glad you did! Call our office 630-834-3668. For more information about Foot Awareness Month, click here.
