Q Why is EPAT loud?
EPAT, or Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology, is an advanced treatment available for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. We have many patient in our office ask "what is that noise" when we are performing treatment. EPAT is performed with use of an applicator and the handpiece encompasses a "bullet" which snaps back and forth to transmit pulses of energy into the affected area. This makes for some loud noises in the process.
Call our office if you have a musculoskeletal ailment and would like to see if EPAT is right for you!
