  • A device made of straps, levers and cranks used to attach the foot
    • Referred to as a “JAS” device, these have been around for a long time and may be increasing in popularity. They are available for multiple joints and body parts. In the foot and ankle, the two most applicable devices aim to increase flexibility of the Achilles tendon and the other passively stretches the big to joint to reduce stiffness from surgery or also in cases of biomechanical constraints.
