What to do when the snow starts to fall
Winter running in the midwest isn’t for everyone. If you don’t want to put on the ski mask and fair the frosty wind, a treadmill is a great option. Some bonuses with treadmill running include:
1. You can watch a show or movie to help pass the time.
2. Treadmills are a little easier on your joints than running on pavement.
3. You can modify your incline to get a different challenge and do this in intervals to really get your heart rate going
4. No snowy shoes, no slippery ground=less chance of injury during the winter
Keep in mind: because there isn’t any breeze coming through your house or the gym, set up a fan and be sure to have plenty of water to keep cool.
